By using a unique wavelength of 1927nm, Clear + Brilliant® provides a non ablative laser treatment, meaning targeted tissue is heated up without the need of destroying it. By creating thousands of microscopic treatment zones this not only stimulates the production of collagen but also enables a more effective delivery of topical products. The treatment is suitable for all skin types with little downtime.

Before treatment, a Hydrafacial® provides a deep cleanse, extraction and hydration of the skin. Following treatment, Profhilo® delivers the highest quality hyaluronic acid into the dermal layer to plump and hydrate, whilst Botox® is effective primarily in the upper face, and filler achieves contour and definition in the lower face. Laser and IPL treatments can address a wide range of concerns. All patients benefit from a comprehensive skincare regimen, tailored for their skin type and their history of sun and pollutant exposure. Our experienced aestheticians can devise a bespoke regimen following skin analysis using our Observ 520X which provides 10 different metrics for analysis of current skin condition.

• Avoid touching or massaging the treated areas for 24 hours
• Do not apply Retinoids or Vitamin C for 14 days after the procedure
• For the first 24 hours, keep treated area dry and clean, wash with lukewarm water and allow to air dry (avoid using towels)
• Do not apply makeup around the treated area for 24 hours
• Avoid saunas, hot baths and jacuzzis for 24 hours post treatment
• Avoid exercise or sweat inducing activities for 24 hours post treatment
• Avoid sunlight for 48 hours post procedure 
• As part of your skin health regimen, from 24 hours post procedure, avoid direct sunlight on the treated area, using a hat where possible, and with broad spectrum physical SPF 50 and 5 star UVA protection such as the Forlle’d Hyalogy UV protector or ZO Sheer Fluid Broad Spectrum Sunscreen.

Prior to arrival at Montrose

From 4 weeks prior to treatment avoid any aggressive treatments such as ablative laser. 

From 2 weeks prior to treatment avoid abrasive treatments, including: laser; micro-needling; prolonged or UV exposure; aggressive facials, or irritant topical products (Acids, Retinol, Vitamin C or scrubs)

If you are taking blood thinners, including NSAIDs such as Asprin or Ibuprofen, you should discuss with your doctor whether it is possible to discontinue their use throughout the course of your treatment. 

On arrival at Montrose

Your practitioner will remove any makeup, discuss any of your concerns and review your medical history, after which the treatment area will be photographed.

The treatment takes approximately 20 minutes depending on area. During the treatment, you will feel some heat and a sensation like an elastic band snapping on your skin. After the treatment there will be erythema (local skin redness) and oedema (swelling) for a couple of hours. Some redness and swelling in the treatment area will occur which settles within the first few hours but may last longer.

Results

Visible results can start to appear on the day of treatment but may take up to 48 hours and full results only appear on the conclusion of a course of treatment. Top up treatments are recommended and should be combined with a comprehensive skincare regime to maintain long lasting results. 

The treatment is unsuitable for:

• Patients who are pregnant
• Patients who are taking oral retinoids
• Patients with significant redness in the treatment area from conditions such as actinic keratoses, eczema, psoriasis, rosacea etc 
• Patients who have had an allergic response to laser
