How does MORPHEUS 8® work?

Morpheus8 is a minimally invasive fractional treatment that combines micro-needling and radiofrequency (RF) energy to remodel and contour the face and body.

The treatment uses a series of gold coated microneedles that stimulate a healing response from the skin, increasing elastin and collagen production. The radiofrequency energy heats the tissue under the skin and simultaneously tightens connective fibres and moulds the fat to lift and firm the contours.

    On arrival at Montrose

Our team will assist in the removal of any makeup and one of our team will discuss any of your concerns and review your medical history, after which the treatment area will be photographed. Numbing cream or local anaesthetic may be applied – this takes 30-45 minutes to work. You may receive supplemental local anaesthetic injections around the face.

The treatment takes between 20-60 minutes depending on area. During the treatment, you may experience brief, deep heat sensation. After the treatment there will be erythema (local skin redness) and edema (swelling) for a couple of hours. The sensation of heat may last up to 7 days. Some redness and swelling in the treatment area will occur which settles within the first few hours but may last longer. Tiny pin-point scabs may appear which can be covered with makeup after 24 hours.

Visible results appear between 4-14 days after treatment but are best seen 4-6 weeks post-treatment.

Before treatment, a Hydrafacial® provides a deep cleanse, extraction and hydration of the skin. Following treatment, Profhilo® delivers the highest quality hyaluronic acid into the dermal layer to plump and hydrate, whilst Botox® is effective primarily in the upper face, and filler achieves contour and definition in the lower face. Clear and Brilliant® laser treatment provides visibly illuminated skin and a clinically proven enhanced skin permeability for the absorption of topical skin care. Laser and IPL treatments can address a wide range of concerns. Coolsculpt® and Emsculpt Neo® can be used to address any excess fat or to stimulate underlying muscle. More invasive treatments such as FaceTite® and Liposuction can address stubborn areas, whilst a surgical neck lift performed in our theatre at Montrose provides the ultimate resolution to sagging skin around the neck.

  • Patients who are pregnant
